The Komoniecki Cave - the largest erosive cave in the Polish
Flysch Carpathians made up of Godulski sandstone, near the peak of Łamana Skała
(928 m above sea level); and the
waterfall on the nearby Dusica stream.
The Madohora Nature Reserve around the mountain of Łamana
Skała. This vast 71.8 ha area boasts hundred-year-old spruces, marsh orchids,
and the characteristic pudding stone formations.
The Szeroka Nature Reserve around Kocierz (879 m above sea
level) with the area of 49 ha protects a natural Carpathian beech forest.
The Town Park - a wonderful resting place for the town
dwellers in the centre of Andrychów between the Bobrowskis' Palace and the
Parish Church with magnificent trees as a 200-year-old London plane, oak trees,
catalpas, ginkgoes, an artificial pond and a small island with water fowl.
Pańska Góra (432 m above sea level) - a hill over Adrychów
covered with a beech and birch forest, a disused limestone quarry dating from
the Mesozoic era, and a much older granite gneiss outcrop on the northern
slope. Ideal for a peaceful walk.
Groń Jana Pawła II (890 m above sea level, formerly known as
Jaworzyna), with a mountain shelter near the top and a chapel called Sanctuary
to the People of the Mountains (Sanktuarium Ludziom Gór) where masses are held
from spring to autumn. Christmas midnight masses were also held here in the
1990s. This mount can be reached by a picturesque trail from Rzyki-Jagodki.
